The BLADE 270 is made for serious shade without the setup stress. With a massive 270-degree spread and 8.5m² of coverage, it’s engineered to be completely freestanding, even in wind gusts up to 45km/h — no ropes, no poles, no worries.
It’s Australian made, built with premium materials across the board: 6061‑T6 marine-grade aluminium frame, solution-dyed wax-coated canvas, and an integrated LED light strip with white, amber, and red colour modes for night-time versatility. The side-mount bracket system makes install fast and solid on nearly any roof rack system.
To make your setup bulletproof, it also includes the full Tiegear BLADE PACK, loaded with all the hardware you need — neatly stored in a dedicated Peg bag.

With a 100% freestanding design, you have all the strength and coverage without poles and ropes getting into the way. it is wind tested to 45km/h, due to the high-quality materials and manufacturing, BLADE is wind gust tested, without the need for ropes or poles.
WHAT ROOF RACKS DOES IT MOUNT TO?
Designed for 3/4 and short roof racks, only requiring a minimum length of 1.4m.
Easy to install on most roof rack models, including Yakima, Rhino-Rack, Thule, Pro Rack, Rola, and Global T C-channel bars. It is also compatible with Yakima LockNLoad, Rhino-Rack Pioneer, Rola Titan, and Kings Platform Racks.
